Overwhelmingly popular with our Perfect Ten voters, the Pensacola Humane Society has a long and storied history within the Pensacola community. Incorporated over 70 years ago in 1943 with one employee, the Society has grown into a thriving and dedicated group of volunteers, community advocates and professional staff. In 1985, Pensacola Humane Society also became a no-kill facility, and currently provides shelter, food, care, medical attention and love until they find their forever homes. Animals currently available for adoption can be found here.

The Pensacola Humane Society mission is as follows: "The Pensacola Humane Society is committed to improving the lives of companion animals in our community through advocacy, adoption, education and sanctuary."  To that end, Pensacola Humane Society ia a leader in spay and neuter education and remains committed to their belief that Pensacola as a whole should be a no-kill community - where every animal has a safe, healthy and welcoming home.
