Established in 1988 and providing direct service since 2004, Gulf Coast Kid's House provides a home for a multidisciplinary team from a number of partner agencies to respond to child sexual abuse, egregious physical abuse and medical neglect cases in Escambia County.

The child-friendly facility at Gulf Coast Kid's House allows for the intervention, investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases in one facility. Not only does this provide a more caring, considerate environment for the child and their family, it also allows for a far more collaborative response to cases.

Beyond the facility itself, Gulf Coast Kid's House believe in the importance of community education and the promotion of prevention awareness through their informational programs. To learn more about the Gulf Coast Kid's House educational programs, click here. Most importantly, however, Gulf Coast Kid's House needs your help. Either through donations or advocacy, you can truly play a part in this special organization. They also have a small wish-list which directly helps the children of our community:

  • Underwear (various child sizes- boy and girl)
  • Diapers
  • Gift Cards in $25 increments(Target, Publix, Walmart, etc)
  • Stamps
  • Cash donations

There are other special service opportunities available too:

  • Become a child abuse prevention educator
  • Help with much needed fundraising events
  • Advocate for child welfare issues
  • Sponsor a program, service or event

To say Gulf Coast Kid's House is a much needed service would be something of an understatement - in 2010 alone, services were provided to over 1200 children. Thanks to everyone involved at Gulf Coast Kid's House for all that they have done, and continue to do, for the most vulnerable in our society.
